Confession: I have somewhat of an obsession with Glassybaby votives. These colored glasses are so vibrant and give so much personality to a room! They're also quite substantial, weighing in around a pound each. For those of you who don't know, Glassybaby is a company based here in Seattle, founded by entrepreneur Lee Rhodes. They have produced more than four hundred colors and donate a portion of sales to charities around the world.
They are a little spendy, coming in at $44.00 a votive, so I try to take advantage of their seconds sale that happens twice a year. They're marked down to $36.00 at the sale, which makes them a bit more budget friendly. I went for the first time in January, and was in line around 5am for the 9am sale. It's a little chaotic, yes, but well worth the wait for some one of a kind pieces. Some of the votives do have major flaws, but others have only slight imperfections. I bet you can't guess which ones in the below images are from the sale and which are from the store!
With Mother's Day around the corner, I couldn't help but consider giving a Glassybaby to a person who means so much to me, my mom. These adorable little rose bushes were just $3.49 at Trader Joe's. As soon as I saw them I knew how perfect they would be for my Glassybaby gift. We picked one up for Adam's mom too, and both of them were an absolute hit! Next time you're looking for a unique gift to give someone, or perhaps just something to add to your decor, check out Glassybaby. If you're in the Seattle area, try and go to one of their shops. The colors of these little beauties change so much when a candle is lit in them!
