Party-Worthy Color Palettes Inspired by Summer Sunsets

Party-Worthy Color Palettes Inspired by Summer Sunsets

Summer is officially winding down, but that doesn't make the sunsets any less beautiful or the days any cooler (at least for now)! We've still been fully enjoying our outdoor patio and eating al fresco nearly every evening! Before we transition over to all the moody tones of fall, I wanted to have some fun with a vibrant color palette inspired by those beautiful summer sunsets.

Using a few of my favorite things, I wanted to create a party-worthy centerpiece with some major impact. No matter how small your entertaining area is, using bold colors can truly work in your favor to liven it up! Start with a bouquet always – they're a must-have for any space! They can bring conversation, convey a mood and add personality.

This stunning arrangement provided by FTD Flowers is titled Sunset Sweetness, which is totally appropriate given the time of year! The tones in this bouquet are oh-so vibrant; spanning a sunset spectrum from orange through purple. Pink-tipped yellow roses, orange lilies, magenta carnations, purple stock and a spray of greenery are arranged in a glass vase lined with striped green ribbon. It's amazing how just adding a little ribbon to a vase can change the entire look of a bouquet! Give it a try for yourself next time you bring home a market-fresh gathering.

Another one of my must-have outdoor items? These party matches! I'm already obsessed with Skeem's matchsticks, but these are extra special with their colorful tips! This vibrant combo of pink, red, orange and purple tipped matches comes in both regular and mini sized bottles, plus the larger fireplace bottle! Always keep a jar handy for all those outdoor festivities powered by candlelight.

Glassybaby votives also add beautiful pops of color to a space. While they're a slow collection to build at 50 bucks a pop (and yes, that's a bit crazy), they're a lasting piece of hand-blown artwork. The tea lights illuminated within can completely change the color you see in the daylight. Adam bought me my first Glassybaby, which we thought was sea-foam green in the store. Once we got outside in the light, it turned completely baby blue!

Belvoir Fruit Farms makes some pretty amazing refreshments that are perfect for sipping on in the summer heat. Their sparkling lemonades are great on their own, but if you really want to kick it up a notch make them part of a delicious adult beverage. Elderflower & Rose and Lime & Lemongrass are two of my favorites. Need some cocktail inspiration? Check out Belvoir's website for an array of recipes. Plus, they look really pretty as part of any party scene, especially with this beautiful arrangement by FTD Flowers called New Sunrise!
