You Just Got Bloomed
I'm singing it from the rooftops right now, it's FRIDAY! Not just any Friday, but one that marks the beginning of a four day weekend! I don't know about you, but it's been one heck of a week. I guess that's only natural when a long weekend is in the near future! I love all that the Fourth of July has to offer. Food, friends, family...fireworks! Big things are also in store for Pike Petals...I've got some REALLY exciting news on the horizon but I can't share it with all of you just quite yet! What better way to kick off the weekend than bringing you this beautiful bouquet? Prepare for floral spam, friends!
I teamed up with Bloom That to bring this vibrant beauty to the streets of Seattle. Known as The Lola, this arrangement is a smattering of all things summery and full of joy. Sweet pastel roses, both large and spray, mix with calla lilies, snap dragons and one very large raspberry-colored protea. This bouquet is sweet with a little bit of spice.
If you haven't explored Bloom That's bouquets, you're missing out. These babies arrived on my doorstep as fresh as can be. If you caught my Instagram story last week, you saw how adorable the box they arrived in was! The opening flap said "drumroll please" and once you opened the box it said "day made". The typography/design nerd in me was super excited.
As per usual, Seattle weather started out gray and hazy in the morning, but finished with a beautiful, show-stopping sunset. In a way, this perfectly describes my ensemble. I love how this monochromatic outfit brings out the true colors and beauty of the bouquet! It's almost like the punctuation at the end of a sentence.
My dress, which was a serious score from Forever 21, is technically a mini dress but has these amazing front and back panels that make it both work appropriate and super unique! It's sleeveless, so I paired it with my trusty leather jacket while I was indoors at work.
I don't wear my Converse enough! Normally I'd finish this look with a pair of stilettos, but I wanted to keep it casual and fun. My look stays grounded and a little unexpected. Athleisure is all the rage now, right?
Special thanks to Bloom That for providing me with this show-stopper of an arrangement. I loved toting it around with me, and it arrived display-ready with the perfect vase. The blooms lasted well over a week and I was so sad to see them go! I guess that just means it's time for a new gathering, right? I hope you all have THE BEST Fourth of July, light a sparkler, mix up a festive cocktail and live a little!
