Currently Loving: Candelles

Spring is here! Spring is finally here! I thought it would never come. While this new season brings many changes, the biggest has definitely been accepting a brand new job! I started on Monday and the weeks leading up to it were both stressful and filled with excitement. A new daily routine is always a little unsettling for me, I'm such a creature of habit! I took some time for myself last weekend and relaxed around the house, cleaning and redecorating. It was the first time this year we were able to open the windows and let a fresh breeze blow through the house – it felt so good.

Heavenly scents of budding flowers and fresh fruit are another reason to celebrate the arrival of the spring! Candelles is a brand that I instantly fell in love with from the moment I laid eyes on their beautiful packaging. I discovered brand on a local boutique's Instagram and instantly had to know more. Kelley and CJ started the brand in 2013 as a hobby, and since then it has blossomed into a full-fledged business. You can tell that they pour so much love into the fragrances they create. They focus on small batch production, eco-friendly products, and hand-pour each and every one of their candles.

Candelle's packaging is so clean and simple, letting the scent within speak for itself. Excuse me for getting a little nerdy with design for a second, but the typography on their jars is so well designed. The fragrance name gets the perfect punch of color, and is slightly offset from the outlined type, giving it a playful personality. It's one thing for a candle to smell good, but when it also looks good, it totally has my heart. These candles have taken over all corners of my house.

Mint Nectarine is oh so refreshing, and might be my favorite of their spring scents. I feel like I'm picnicking on a carefree sunshine-filled day in the middle of an open field. Talk about a scent taking you places! It's a cooling blend of mint and citrus top notes, middle notes of nectarine, and finishes with woody and musk notes on the bottom. I've been keeping this one in the office on my bookshelf, which for all intents and purposes isn't a bookshelf, but rather a plant shelf. :D

Lavender Sage is the perfect companion for my desk, providing clarity and focus when I need it most. It's a calming herbal blend which is helpful when I get lost in hours of editing photos! This candle begins with top notes of lavender, lime, sage, and fern and is followed by middle notes of moss and ginger. Base notes include pine, musk, and patchouli.

Kiwi and Lemongrass is a new scent for Candelle's spring collection, and has a completely energizing and invigorating spirit! Fresh lemon, orange rinds, and kiwi blend with middle notes of green tea, bamboo, and eucalyptus, and are accompanied by warming base notes of cedarwood and vanilla.

African Gardenia is a blend which is hard for me to define – it's completely refined and sophisticated. It has notes of white gardenia, lily of the valley, jasmine, and subtle hints of citrus and amber. This candle has been a perfect addition to our living room, the scent drifts through the space like a warm breeze.

Kelley was extremely generous and provided me with a few promo codes to use on their site! Simply use code PIKEPETALS15 for 15% off regular priced items, or PETALS5OFF for $5 off any order. If there was ever a time to try a new scent for spring, now is that time, because the codes will expire next Wednesday! You'll have a hard time picking just one candle though – they're all so inviting. Thank you so much for partnering with me on this post, Candelles! I'll be happily burning your scents through the spring season and beyond!
